1) Scope

This Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use Pikalead (the “Service”). It covers providers, contractors, and site visitors.

2) Information we collect

  • Account & Profile: name, email, authentication identifiers, role (provider/contractor/admin), company, phone, notification preferences.
  • Provider Financial: Stripe Connect account IDs, payout details, wallet balance & transactions (no full card/bank numbers stored on our servers).
  • Marketplace Activity: listings you create/buy (job type, service area ID, ZIP/postal, appointment date/time, private notes), purchase history, disputes & support tickets, selected service areas.
  • Communications: support and dispute messages.
  • Device/Usage: IP, browser/device, pages viewed, timestamps, logs for security and performance.
  • Location & Address Inputs: addresses you enter via Google Places Autocomplete and parsed components (e.g., ZIP).

Sources: you (forms/CSV), cookies/SDKs, processors (Stripe, Google Maps), and infrastructure.

3) Google Calendar integration

Contractors can optionally connect a Google account so purchased appointments are copied into their calendar. When you authorize this integration we request the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events scope. This grants Pikalead permission to create, update, or delete events that we originally wrote on your behalf.

  • Data received from Google: OAuth tokens, granted scopes, token expiry, and the email address associated with the authorized Google account. We do not download the rest of your calendar contents.
  • Data we send to Google: appointment title, job notes, client name, phone number, service address, and scheduled time (including timezone) for the purchased appointment.
  • Use of data: tokens are stored securely and used only to keep your Pikalead appointments in sync. We do not sell, rent, or use this data for advertising.
  • Revoking access: you can disconnect at any time from Pikalead or the Google security settings page. We delete your stored tokens when you disconnect.

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4) How we use information

  • Provide and improve the Service and core features.
  • Process payments and provider payouts via Stripe.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
  • Transactional communications; optional marketing if opted in.
  • Analytics and product development.

5) Legal bases (EEA/UK)

  • Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) to provide the Service.
  • Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for safety and improvement.
  • Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for optional cookies/marketing.
  • Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) for tax/bookkeeping.

6) Sharing your information

We don’t sell personal data. We share only as needed with:
  • Processors/Infra:hosting, email/SMS providers bound by DPAs.
  • Payments: Stripe (customer & Connect IDs, events).
  • Maps: Google Maps Autocomplete (address inputs).
  • Compliance & safety: regulators/law enforcement when legally required.
  • Business transfers: during a merger/acquisition.

7) International transfers

Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8) Retention

  • Account data: for the life of your account.
  • Transactions/payouts: typically 7–10 years (by law).
  • Support/disputes: case life + ~3 years.
  • Logs: ~90–365 days unless needed longer for security/legal reasons.

9) Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing, and to object/withdraw consent. Contact us to exercise these rights.

10) Children

The Service isn’t directed to children under 16 (or local equivalent).

11) Security

We apply appropriate technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, role-based access, logging and backups). No system is 100% secure—keep your credentials safe.

12) Marketing & communications

Manage preferences in settings or via unsubscribe. Transactional messages are necessary to operate your account.

SMS Communications

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

13) 10DLC SMS Communications

PikaLead operates SMS communications in compliance with 10DLC (10-Digit Long Code) regulations and carrier requirements. This section outlines our SMS practices and your rights regarding text messaging.

SMS Campaign Details

  • Opt-in Keyword: START or similar keyword
  • Opt-out Keyword: STOP or similar keyword
  • Help Keyword: HELP or similar keyword

SMS Message Types

You may receive SMS messages from PikaLead about:

  • Project request confirmations
  • Contractor match notifications
  • Appointment reminders
  • Important updates about your requests
  • Account-related notifications

Message Frequency & Costs

  • Message frequency may vary based on your activity and preferences
  • Standard message and data rates may apply
  • Consent is not a condition of purchase

Your SMS Rights

  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time
  • Reply HELP for assistance
  • Reply START to re-subscribe if previously opted out

SMS Privacy & Data Sharing
